English: From Monday December 2nd until Sunday December 8th, Ryan Laukat, famous from his illustrations for Dominion, Chocolatl and Rails of New England and designer of games like Empires of the Void, City of Iron and of course the brand-new Eight-Minute Empire will be our guest for a week and he will answer your questions in this topic. As usual there will be a contest attached to this Q&A, in which you can win a copy of Eight-Minute Empire.
1. Everyone is allowed to ask Ryan some questions, but please do this in English, as Ryan doesn't speak Dutch. 2. Please number your questions and reckon with the numbering of your predecessor. This will make it easier for Ryan to answer, and for us, to find out which answer belongs to which question. 3. Needless to say, but... of course, all our houserules apply. Treat Ryan with the utmost respect and make him feel very welcome!
From now on you can start posting the questions you would like to ask him below!
PS Take notice: Ryan lives in an area when it's 8 hours earlier than here, so that might explain the time when he answers the questions.
7. I've had my eye on eight minute empire for a while (it seems to fill the same gap love letter did: perfect for filling up the time in between games), but still haven't convinced myself to purchase it. Can you convince me to choose eight minute empire over love letter?

8. Your game City of Iron has a playing time of 120 minutes, Eight Minutes Empire has a playing game of 8 minutes; do you play games yourself and what is your preferred playing time?
11. How did you come up with the 'eight minutes' in Eight Minute Empire? Is it a symbolic number? Did you play it several times and then counted the average playing time? Did you make a calculation on paper?
12) Which of your own games (as designer or artist) do you find the best? 13) What made you decide to design your own games? 14) Why did you create your own publishing company?
