The Coding Monkeys have been Tweeting quite a bit lately about the work that's been happening on the expansions for everyone's favorite example of a high quality iOS board game app, Carcassonne. Today the latest tweet states that the update will be submitted next week!

Good news everyone! We will submit the update with the expansion store (and 2 available expansions) for review to the AppStore next week.
So for those just now tuning in, there will be two expansions which users will be able to obtain through an "expansion store" as In App purchases. The first two expansions will be Carcassonne: Inns & Cathedrals and Carcassonne: The River II. According to the Coding Monkeys, "Pricing will be inexpensive."
I'm just happy to see that it looks like we'll be getting these just in time for the holidays!
Persoonlijk vind ik het maar een flauwe uitbreiding.
De rivier: speel ik zelden of nooit als we carcassonne spelen
De inns and cathedrals: een dubbele meeple is leuk maar niet zijn geld waart, en de kathedralen is een klein extraatje die er alleen maar voor zorgt dat je de stad moet afmaken anders is hij geen punten waart.
Niet echt veel waar voor je geld dus en dat in crisistijd.
Maar ja ik ben een roker dus ik moet niet zagen over 2€.
Persoonlijk vind ik dit een geweldige uitbreiding.
Eigenlijk had dit meteen al bij de basis app moeten zitten.
Ik speel Carcassonne nooit zonder deze twee.
Echt waar voor je geld en dat maar voor een luttele €2.
Uren lol zal ik er mee hebben.
Maar ja, ik rook dan ook niet.
