Voor iedereen die nog twijfelt: De laatste 24 uur van deze campagne gaat bijna in! De Kickstarter loopt erg goed, de meeste stretchgoals zijn gehaald, alleen nog die voor de 6e speler.

The "Mule Duel" variant for Coloma was a front-runner for the base 2-player rules during the initial development period. It features two Mule meeples and ten carrot tokens (5 carrots per player).

At the start of each round, one carrot per player is placed at each of the five Event spaces. In this mode, Events are not automatically triggered by the Barker's rotation. Instead, Events are triggered by the Mules eating carrots.

During the action selection step you use two dials: one for your Pioneer (your player color dial) and another for your Mule (non player color dial). Then the figures are placed on their chosen Sites, and the Bust is adjusted to go to the Site with the most Pioneers/Mules. Each player with a Mule on a Site with a carrot adjacent to it, eats the carrot (removing it from the board) and gains the Event bonus (including the 2x with a Camp there). However, if your Mule is on a Site without a carrot, you must ignore the adjacent Event.

This creates a tense, no-luck variant for two players without a dummy player (no Buster!). You'll want to visit each Event with your Mule once per round to get the most befits—but you'll also want to Bust your opponent's Pioneer by sending your Mule to the same Site whenever possible. Sometimes you can time it just right to do both! But they'll be thinking the same way...

This clearly has extra rules and motivations that are unlike the multiplayer game, therefore it was not chosen to be the default 2-player mode. (Buster works great for mimicking the 3-player "feel" of the game.) But the Mule Duel offers a pure mind vs mind game without any luck affecting the outcomes. We loved it so much that we wanted to include it for you to try as well!

De grote bestelling van 32 stuks is doorgegeven & betaald. Ik probeer hier nog regelmatig updates te plaatsen, al komt daar binnenkort verandering in met een website waar er dus geen FB groepen en/of posts in deze fora benodigd is waardoor alles meer gecentraliseerd is.
